Okay, I've run through all the books I have here. I need a new favorite series. What can you recommend?

Loved the Diana Gabaldon books (Outlander series). Have already read all of them and am waiting anxiously for the new one.
Loved the Stephanie Plum books. Have read all of them and am waiting for the new one.
Love the Mercedes Lackey books. Have read almost all of them.
Read all the John Grisham books. Enjoy them.
Read all the Michael Crichton books. Enjoy them.
Read all the Dan Brown books. Enjoy them.
Read all the Edgar Rice Burrows. Love it.
Read all the Louisa May Allcott, Mark Twain, Harry Potters, Tolkien, CS Lewis, Rudyard Kipling. Love it.
Love Nora Roberts, but am trying to give up romance novels.
Not that into Mary Higgins Clark.
Not that into Luanne Rice.
Like some of the Anne Rice books (not so much teh vampire stuff though).
Even like Louis L'Amour.

I will read almost anything. I just need a new series.
What have you got?

Tom Clancy - Marine

I was onboard ship for the deployment when he gathered his info for the book. I then read the book. I was amazed at how he used the facts and didn't make stuff up. I am not a big reader, wait I don't read novels at all. I ended up reading all of his books

So do you like mystery..or historical .. or just anything (like me..)

Just anything, Red. I'll try almost anything.

njduck- I've tried the Clancy books a few times and generally get bogged down in his technical details. He's a fine writer. He just generally doesn't hold my attention long. Totally my fault, not his.

Anderson- Thanks! I'll look that one up.

Maybe look at Clive Barker or Neil Gaimon. They both can walk between fantasy, sci fi, horror, and thriller and/or combine them.
Have you tried Dean Koontz or Stephen King, both are great storytellers.

Imp

A fantasy I really liked was the Death Gate Cycle by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. 7 books long.

and

The original Dune series by Frank Herbert. I haven't tried the new ones.

Sure! I've read everything I could get on PaperbackSwap.com by him. Waiting for the last two... too cheap to buy new books and too busy to go to the library.
