I need a pug (Or Boston)

LOL! My pug (RIP Lucy) was like a little Dirt Devil. There was not a food crumb to be found with her around.

Pugs can and do have health problems. I ran into a former co-worker back in May. She's a major pug lover and has 3 so I asked her how her dogs were doing. She said her 8 year old was blind.

Unbelievably, about a month later my six and a half year old pugapoo (1/2 pug, 1/2 mini poodle) suddenly went completely blind.

His thyroid went haywire at the same time too. He's on meds for his thyroid, which has made a tremendous difference, but he'll be blind for the rest of his life.

Pugs have a double coat, that is why they are high shedders. They are pretty laid back most of the time.

Bostons are high energy, but do your homework, not all are that hyper. We found responsible breeders. The female was pretty hyper, but was gorgeous, a champion and was being specialed. The male was more laid back, also a champion, and they were now persuing a obedience title and therapy certification with him due to his laid back attitude. They had a male puppy in the litter that was very much like dad, laid back, very sweet, etc. The pups were almost 6 months old, they had sold they pet puppies and kept 3 they wanted to watch longer. We absolutely love our little Astro. He is super sweet, energetic, but not hyper. He runs around outside with me, he likes to poke his nose into things and might run after something that runs, but just out of curiosity, he doesn't any prey drive to speak of.

A few things people might complain of with bostons, they snort and snore on occasion, I think it is cute. They seem prone to gas. We finally found a food that agrees with Astro, though some french fries recently sent him into a new round of deadly gas that cleared the house! Oh, and he is deadly accurate with his tongue, not positive this is a boston trait, though my cousin says theirs also does this. He can be sitting innocently on your lap, turn to look at you. If you open your mouth to say something, lick your lips, whatever, BAM!! He is giving you the tongue!!!

Forgot to add, he is fantastic with my kids, including my 4 year old, he despite my constant warnings, likes to pokes his eyes, stick her fingers where they shouldn't be, dress him up, etc.

All in all, I wouldn't trade my little monkey for anything!
