I need a solution...

This is what we did when we had city chickens, we built a run extension that could be detached during the coop move and reattached at new location. I wish i had pictures of it 🙄
If you are set on a tractor, could you make additions of the run style for the tractor that you can connect to the current run? Or even a permanent run/coop?
Maybe a larger run that the tractor coop can be moved into so that you still have the freedom to move the tractor if you choose to.
You may be able to look on Facebook or Craigslist for possible supplies or things that are free, if the cost is an issue.
I do think you would like a larger run and the flock would be happier plus less stress on you.

it was brought up to my attention (not here) that the easiest thing to do was to get rid of two chickens...but I don’t think “chicken math” works that way
Sure it does:
Chicken math is not just 'addition'...but also should include Division, Multiplication and especially Subtraction!!!

Good point! Will post a picture in the morning. I think ball park it is a 4x11 ft tractor but I can measure better tomorrow...it was brought up to my attention (not here) that the easiest thing to do was to get rid of two chickens...but I don’t think “chicken math” works that way...😬😂😂

We are still deciding and letting the chickens destroy our garden beds before winter does...

Here it is. We are buildings run for them. In the meantime we’ll just move this thing around more often. As far as weather...it got to 35 degrees the other day and I covered them up with painters cloth and they seemed fine. Is this enough or what else do they need? We do have a heat lamp from when they were chicks?? Is that too hot? They are supposed to be “cold hardy” birds (6 Buff orpingtons) but I don’t know what that means in practice..

That is tight space for 4 birds, let alone 6....and not good shelter.
Covering it a cloth may reduce ventilation, and won't be waterproof.
They need to be dry and out of the wind, but with ample ventilation.
Heat lamp not a good idea.
