I need a town to run away to

Having grown up within 4 miles of the border I can say it was always much harder getting back into th US than it ever was getting into Canada.

cosby, newport or parrottsville, TN (or any of the small towns in east tn.). Cheap living, beautiful surroundings and very country.

You
can get a 2000+ sf house and 10 acres for about 170k or more in those areas.

I'm looking for a small maybe 2 bedroom house, country style with the wrap around screen porch with the stationary dog on the steps. Right now I live in NC. Houses here can cheap or like 200k. It just depends

I've seen 50 acres with a small house for 75K - 100K in Missouri. I don't know about the wrap around porch deal, but Missouri is a lot of land for not much money.

Willow, Trapper Creek Alaska.....
Far enough away to still be uncontrolled by restrictions, covenents, and building codes.............. but close enough, 1 1/2 hrs away from WallyWorld, to still be connected to the world.
Why'd I tell you???????????????????????????????? the fewer people that come out here, the better!!!! LOL!!!

Zaboo, you don't have to leave the state. Just head northwest to the Blue Ridge. There are plenty of out of the way places up there. Beautiful county up there.
