I need advice asap

Thank you. Yes, unfortunately I am VERY familiar with Mareks. She is just not displaying ANY of the symptoms of the three types of Mareks I was poisoned with. Im not trying to be snarky. But I know more than the average joe about Mareks. I was given all three; dermal, visceral, and occular. But, we have managed the flock with the help of the university and this little beauty is not being typical in any way, shape, or form....
 worst nightmare! I don't even want to think of that ever happening! I'm so sorry. :(

The interesting thing (as you, no doubt, know) about Marek's is how it presents in so many different fashions. We might say there are three common variations, however the manifestation of symptoms is much more varied. The visceral tumors can develop on any organ, causing a variety of reactions (often people only think of the classic paralysis, when really it is much more "sneaky" than that) - sadly our girls mask many of those symptoms until it is almost too late. It does sound as if you may be experiencing yet another "version" - white, pasty poop being an indicator of something bacterial that might, perhaps, be just a secondary infection. (Is it accomanied by green, watery poop?)
Boosting vitamins and pushing protein are both excellent "go-tos" while you work through this.
It would be good to see a picture of both the poop and the eye.
I'm really sorry you are going through this with your sweet girl!

Thank you so much. It is so hard. I never in my wildest dreams thought my little organic backyard farm would be annihilated with something so terrible. And all because of a breeder who sold to the farm store under false pretenses. I have learned this......There is no hatchery in the US that can guarantee they have not been exposed to this disease. There are NO guarantees. I will never go with "vaccinated, ccpsoienrleihlskdflksj;dlkj Free" again! Backyard farming is far safer than buying from these hatcheries who give lip service. It is quite interesting. The absolute manipulation of terms. Anyway, thank you for your time and sentiments. I so appreciate it.

Thank you so much. I am trying to upload the photos and having difficulty. You are totally spot on! My gut is saying she is just showing me "other ways" this horrible disease can rear its' ugly head. I thought I would put it out there to see if anything anyone had to add would spark thought for me. It has. Thank you for your response and empathy. This has been the most horrific and educational experience of my lifetime. Truthfully! I will keep the progress updated. I hope I can get the pics uploaded. Thanks again.

Photo of eye would help. What disease were they diagnosed with? Where are you?
We have all three strains of Mareks. With additional complications of "curable" ailments. If you are familiar, the "curable" stuff makes not a lot of difference when the underlying affliction is Mareks. It's virtually HIV/AIDS in the chicken world. So if she has something else, Mareks gets the better of her most probably. I just thought it was worth a shout out to see if anyone recognized the symptoms and I could get her going with a treatment before her immune system crashed. I will ALWAYS try. But I also am painfully aware that I will loose most of the time with this one. Thank you so much for your time and input. I appreciate it more than you know. I am still trying to upload photos and having a difficult time with the cloud. Stand by on that one. thanks again.

So very sorry about all the tragedy you have experienced in your flock. I am sorry to say that the white eye immediately made me think of ocular Marek's. I hope I am wrong!
I know in my heart you are correct. I just wanted to try to get ideas of other possibilities so that I could treat that before the immune system allowed my "dormant" Mareks to rear its' ugly face again. Once I was left with all my healthy girls, the trick has been to keep them healthy. I have had so much loss that I am realistic. However, I was also hopeful that my older girls would not succumb. I am pumping her with the vitamins and praying. Thanks so much for your time and input. This site has been my lifesaver.

My sister suspected it in her flock we are pretty sure she does not have it. But after that scare i know not to ever bring in chickens. I have been hatching chicks for her for several years now. Its the only way i know for sure that it isnt there. I dont have any birds of my own yet. Getting mareks just one of the 3 types would put me out of chickens i think forever. :hugs
