  1. My broody died, and she had four eggs under her. What can I use to make a emergency incubator???

ETA: I have never incubated before.

A cooler, a light bulb, a thermometer, and a container to for some water to add humidity.

So sorry for you loss [IMG] [IMG] i would suggest to make a homemade one from a styrofoam cooler you can get them cheap at dollar general or im sure walmart would have some you can get the directions from the learning center page here on BYC Good luck!! They are inexpensive to make and should meet your needs for now. Or can get a bator from Tractor supply anywhere from 40-120 dollars Let us know how it goes!

The local county extension office let me borrow one. Worth a phone call.

I work in Birmingham and have an incubator going right now. If you would like, I can meet you and take them and put them in my incubator this evening and bring the chicks back to you when they hatch.
