I've got an order I'm picking up from a hatchery tomorrow... problem is... my brooders are full! I need that space tomorrow, Right now the oldest I have outside are about five weeks and they're doing great but I'm wondering if these could go out too... I have my wonderful 6'x6' brooder box with a heat lamp. Do you think they would be fine outside as long as I go out ever night and make sure they are using the brooder box for heat? Its been around the eighties here during the day, quite a bit cooler at night. I was thinking/ hoping they would be ok out there during the day and I can just lock them in at night.

The outside brooder I would be using-

I think if you give some heat at night they should be all right during the day. Just keep a eye them .

Mine are about 3 weeks and they have been outside 2-3 weeks now. My heating lamp went out last week (

I started all my baby chicks outside in a brooder of course up until this year. ( I had to put some babys in the basement due to lack of space)
as long as they have a heat source they should be fine!
