I need ducks!!!

Are you planning to keep them in there 24/7 or is this only for nighttime? I think you will be shocked how messy it will become if you are planning to keep them in it all day. I have a couple Khakis, only one could fly well enough to get over a three foot fence and only when she was young.
They will probably stay in that pen when I'm not around, but I would be letting them out into the yard quite a bit.

Tips to keeping the pools and avoiding digging messes
One either build a platform or use fake grass like I do
I also add drains to my kid pools and cut the hose to the size I want
This way it drains away from the area and then they don’t dig
I also have an enclosed outdoor area that I keep feed and water in
Keeps the feed from getting wet and in winter the ducks a place to be without snow
I built a little platform and added fake grass then I use a boot thing that catches the spilled water
These have helped me keep water mess down in my duck area
I never put feed and water inside the coop
I also use the boot things for under the feed it catches what they spill and cleaning is much easier for me
I’ll get some pictures today to show

Im fairly new to ducks still but i have 2.
Both arent flighty as they are heavier breeds Ancona and Blue Swedish. I learned sand wasnt good with ducks. They were dragging sand , mud and everything else into the pool. So once i blocked off the sand i was able to fill the pool up every 2 days. Im going to get some artifical grass to go in this are of the pool.
My coop is low to the ground for them. So i dont have any advice there. Except ventiliation is needed. I actually think mine need more. Mine are fed in the coop so they atleast go in there and water is right outside the door. I dont have to close the door at night. Especially with all the renovation im making to there run, they are in a smaller fence and i bring them out to swim. Hoepfully the other half of the fence will be here soon so i can finish.

Good luck though!

I love this idea!
If you are taking pictures later....any chance you can also get some pix or info about how you set up/ installed your pool drain?

The kid pools I drilled the holes on on the bottom side then cut the length of hose you need
I added switches so I can just turn the valve open or closed
The sand box made into swimming I dug down so I was able to put the drain the the bottom of it And used the plug that comes with them I just turn to open when I want to drain it
It waters my plum trees
The deeper pond has had that grass for 2 years
