I need help and fast!

Ok I finally got some photos. They don't show the problem as well though.
That looks like a relatively normal egg to me. I do understand what you are talking about with a "wave", but honestly I wouldn't worry. Even if something happened and the chick didn't make it, I'd put money on it that it wasn't the air cell.
Awesome thanks so much! Iv never really had any chicks die on me before, so Iv never really have had the experience, the only time some didn't hatch was because they never even started to develop. Thanks for everybody's help, I'll post some pics. Of the chicks after the hatch in 4 days. :D

Really?? You're lucky. Most hatches usually have at least one or two that make it to lockdown but don't hatch. My last hatch I had 100% 20 into lockdown and 20 out. It was my first 100%. The couple before that I had 3 each hatch that didn't make it out. It's sad, especially when y ou can't pin point why, but just something we deal with. Good luck!! I hope you continue your good streak.

Yeah, well then again I'v only done 4 hatches since I'v had my roo, and each of my hatches are like twice a year. I usually only do very small hatches, this time I had four eggs, one never started to develop, and I still have 3 alive, so I'm hoping they all pull through. My first hatch was like that, except I had 5 eggs, one never started to develop, and I got curious as an amateur and cracked one open at day 9, but the other three all hatched! And now they are all laying their own eggs for me to incubate! And thanks a lot, so do I! :)

That's great. I think the smallest amount I've ever set was 21...lol

Wow! That's very cool! My incubator barely holds 7 eggs, and the largest hatch I'v ever done was 6 eggs! You must have a pretty big flock. :cd
I'm just curious, I just ordered 3 chicks from backyard chickens, and I'v got 3 chicks hatching, planning on putting them all in together, and they will all be 2 days apart, 3 will be vaccinated and the ones that hatch will not be, I use medicated chick starter food for the ones not vaccinated, but that won't be a problem with them all together like that from different places, and some not vaccinated and others are right? Sorry if that's confusing.

Well, when you consider the amount that turn out to be roos and most of them get shipped out...lol As of right now, counting the littles that are 6 weeks (of which the boys will be going) I have 42. I have hatched all but 3 out of the 42 I have.

As for vaccinated vs unvaccinated, yes you can mix the two. There are lots of misconceptions about the Mareks vaccine (which is what hatcheries usually vaccinate against) and beliefs that vaccinated chicks shed the Mareks and it can be picked up by non vaccinated chicks. So be careful when searching for info. As for the medicated chick starter, that has nothing to do with Mareks. The medicated chick starter is supposed to help chicks build a resistance to coccidiosis.

Great thanks, I hope the ones hatching won't get meres though. Thanks for all your help. :)

Oh and e last time I hatched chicks, three out of four turned out to be Roos! We named the only girl Hope, she was our last bit of hope for that batch, kept one of her brothers along with her, and the other two went to the feed store to go and start their own flock. ;)

Ok, well it looks like I need help again. I just got done candling the eggs for lockdown, and I noticed that one of their air cells is almost twice the size as the others are! I'm quite not sure what to do, I followed all of the lockdown steps and they are all buttoned down, but the egg that has the bigger air cell is pointing upwards, whereas the other two look normal.

It may have not gotten as much humidity as the others or it may be that it died. Hopefully it will hatch well!

I hope so. I'm pretty sure it is still alive, because when I candled it, I saw it move a bit and I saw blood veins. Will this be a problem for the chick when it tries to hatch?
