I have silkie eggs due in 2 days. They are from and top breeder and they were expensive and I REALLY dont want to screw up. I have them in a forced air incubator and I am worried that the fan will dry there membranes and then they wont be able to hatch. Help! Does anyone else hatch in forced air incubators? What do you keep your humidity? Will the fan dry there membranes out or?

I use a forced air incubator aswell. I keep it around 55-60% humidity from day 1-18 then last three days around 65-70ish.

Fresh air and good humidity levels should prevent drying out the eggs, Incubating is a learning thing you will get down in no time.

forced air doesn't dry the membrane.. low humidity does..

60% to 65% is good ..

more % for ducks and geese..

this question should have been asked way before this..
