So my little brother went to go collect the eggs in the chicken coop and found a baby chick lying on the ground. The rest where outside the coop running around. He brought the chick inside to show me. The chick is cold and he wont stand or open his eyes he just chirps. I think the roster or one of the chickens hit him on the head pretty heard with their beak. I put the chick in the incubator to regain body temp. Does anyone know what i should do??? The chick is not even a week old. Please someone help.

You seem to be doing what needs to be done---warming it up. I got tired of this----chicks getting pecked, killed by adult chickens so I keep my chicks separated until they become adults. Then I might merge them together----but probably not. At least when they become adults they can some what defend themselves. They are helpless as chicks. Good Luck

Thanks so much, yes this is why i keep them apart, but they where doing fine and the chickens didn't mind them. Until the roster came along and did his "thing". The chick is doing fine now back with the other chicks thanks again for your help.

Its to know the little guy is doing fine,

AND IF that was My Rooster, He would find out, Right Quick, What the inside of the Freezer Looked like.
