Hi everyone. I posted this also on March hatching thread, but am worried sick about the new baby, and decided to post it here. I hope it is ok.
I need help! I am hatching some Ameraucana chicks. Two so far have hatched out, and one of the chicks is having problems. She is stuck on her back and can not get up! From the window of the bator she looks formed fine, but is just laying on its back looking around. She seems like she is getting a little weak, but not sure. I have the bator lined with that foam feeling drawer liner so I don't think it is that spraddle leg that chicks get but I could be wrong. I guess I can't open the bator yet cause I have a bunch more eggs to hatch out hopfully. Any advise? I want to save this baby fuzzy butt!!
Thanks,
Dar
