And I don't want to lose my breakfast. Ugh. (But I really want to know.)

I bet you can do it, I already had a hole dug so when i opened the eggs I just put them right into the hole and covered it up.

I'll continue to think about it. I try to get rid of the "irk factor".

Here's a fluffy butt...

I love him/her/it. Definitely worth the wait. Now to see what's going on with the other one...

you are it's mommy now. I had the previledge of being a mommy duck back in the summer, it was very cool.

I love being a ducky mommy. My 8 yr old was upset that I didn't let it look at her first. She wanted to be the sole mommy. LOL!

Stage of develpoment, as far as what week I can't give you info on that, but if you can find out what week or close you might be able to figure out if humidity or temp may have been to blame. You know for sure they were all fertile? Others say it can help when you do another hatch.

Thats cute, they will probably bond too though. My duckling which turned out to be a drake is 5 months old now and he loves my dh.

Yes, they were all fully formed and moving when I last candled on Sunday night/Monday morning-ish. (With the exception of one questionable egg.) But none of the others made it as far as even breaking the air sac.
