I NEED HELP!!!

I have three muscovey ducks two female one male and alittle while ago one of the females kept disappearing then reappearing we assumed it was because she was nesting then just afew days ago she dissapeared ane we havent seen her since. We decided to find her best in Hope's she would be there so we looked around the yard and in the naghbors forest and found a nest with nine eggs under the far side of the coop only accessible from the naghbors forest but she was not there so you think something got her or is she just wondering the forest there is no sign of struggle or blood.

sorry for the circumstances. Any possibility this is the nest of the second hen, and that the missing may be setting someplace else ? If not I am concerned that something may have eaten her.

I say when you saw the nest, your female may have been taking the daily break from brooding. When a duck is incubating eggs the take a break for a few minutes then get back to it.
if she doesn't appear in the next couple of days try something that may show she is there such as setting a plate down with seed on it and see if a decent amount disappears but then again other animals may eat it. My next suggestion is to make the ground mudding or something and setting down a tarp near it. When the duck walks through it will leave footprints and you will be able to tell if it's duck or not.

That's a good idea. Also is there a possibility she is hiding in a tree?
