You could clip their wings so they could be out in the fenced area. Do you have to worry about hawks or eagles where you are?Really small, they are not happy in it. We used to let them out into the fencef area, but then they started to escape!

A lot of people have modified those so the whole structure,run included, become the coop.
It takes some planning and construction skills but is doable.

We have hawks, but they never fly directly over our house. I think because we live near a brook, maybe there are plenty of rodents to fill them up. I'm worried about when winter comes and food is more scarce. They sit on the power poles and watch my birds.
My birds are in a big coop and really big run that has a wire roof. No dinner here winged demons.
If it is a possibility bro make part of the pool house a coop that may be a good idea.
