I need pics of rolin s meat birds please!

Hi! Still trying to figure out what dear sunny is! Only other option besides a very masculine golden sexlink is a rolin s meat bird. I'm having trouble finding pictures of them online though! Thank you!

Sorry, I missed this until now! Sunny is now 10 weeks old. She's the size of a full grown chicken I'd say I'll get an updated pic as we just got home from vacation and the wattles/comb are even bigger. She grew so fast. Only other breed could maybe be a buff rock? I just don't think she looks like a rolin s meat bird and definitely not a buff orpington. Our hatchery didn't get in buff rocks though so it would just be so weird if she wasn't a golden sexlink!

answered your other post. Does appear bulky like a meat bird but, I have never seen or heard of Rollin s meatbirds.

Yes. Quite fat. I couldn't find out a lot about rolin s meat birds either. I just know our feed store got those in too !

Well, it definitely looks like a cockerel. He is meaty for 10 weeks, but I have some Barred Rock that are 11 weeks and he doesn't look built that much different. Is your SLW in the photo the same age? Pictures on the hatcheries websites show the Rollins with black tipped wings/feathers. The only thing I can think of with white tips like that is a sex link. Maybe an "Oooops" second generation sex link. I know that some of the hatcheries sold them this year. I can't find it now, but I read an e-mail TSC sent back to someone that admitted they were sold by accident.

Yes, if anything the slw would be a week younger! I do not see any black! Definitely looks like a sex link to me - but that is good to know about the oops sexlinks! Sunny is from a hatchery
