I need to see what your nesting boxes look like, I am currently working on building mine so if you could post a pic of them that would be awsome.

I don't have a pic but it is very easy. all you need is a drill 2 stews a piece of wood and a five gallon bucket.

first you size the board so that it is a rectangle that has a slight over hang on both sides of the buckets rim. then flip the bucket upside down on top of the board then screw it down. after that you bend the nails down or off. next I drill wholes for ventilation. then your done

Here are my nest boxes. They are under the poop board. The duck is sleeping in one of them. This works well for us. Birds seem to like it.

We were still in the process of building this one when the picture was taken.
This is one that we made from an old dog house -- you know anything that you can recycle is a good thing! The top has hinges so I can lift it up and get the eggs.

These are mounted on a heavy DIY bookcase. Instead of turning the crates on there sides I cut a panel out of the front. It left a lip on the bottom so the shavings or hay won't get kicked out.

I got a 10 ft. Board and nailed 8 1x1 cardboard boxes to it, then filled them all with shavings.
