I need serious advice here with a tumor found in my cat *gross video/*

Just left the vets..we had Gibby put down. She wasnt doing good at all. She stopped eating.. and wasnt moving at ALL... she was staying in one place and peeing and pooping right there. She HAD to have been suffering and feeling very sick...

The vet listened to her heart and said that her murmer was NOT a level 2 (like the spay clinic vet said..) he said it more a level 3-4 and she had cardio myopathy (sp?), and that she didnt have it the last time she was in to see him... AND she had a low temp also...(which goes with the heart problem ..) so.. its not a good prognosis. And unless i had the $170 to send the tumor out..AND money for her to be all worked up... $280 for heart ultra sound...etc... etc... that he would recommend to have her put down.
We're taking this hard right now..hubby and i were just crying and crying there.. i held her while they put her to sleep.. So she wouldnt be scared.
I dont know how little bear(her baby) is going to handle this also... thats going to be a tough one for me..

I'm very sorry about your kitty. I've had to make that decision more times than I care to think about. I always hold mine too so they won't be alone.

Thanks Katy.. It broke my heart.. its a hard hard thing to do.

I am so very sorry for your pain redhen.

It is never easy - be it fast or planned. This weekend we helped my almost 25 year old Arabian Gelding cross the rainbow bridge - as much as I wanted to keep him with me - he had been gently telling me he was ready to go be with our herd who has crossed before. We had been together since he was 3.

Thank you for loving Gibby so very much.

Extra loves, snuggles and hugs for Little Bear. Extra
