I need some advise!

try dipping her beak in the water. Gently push her head down so about 1/3 - 1/2 beak in in the water. She wont like it but it lets them see what it is. Careful of the nostrils.

i have been trying to get her to drink water i have been giving her drops of sugar water off of my finger she chirped a little when i did that... she is acting head heavy like she keeps throwing her head down and isnt able to lift it up..... she is not eating at all though i have corn meal is there something else i should be feeding her?

ok i will try that way as well i just wish i could do more for her she was such a happy chick i know that sounds weird but she was so energetic she used to follow us down the halls during class she always wanted attention she is a little show boat

but now she isnt acting like that at all she is the polar oposite its just all really sad

Corn meal really has no nutritional value at all. I would just concentrate on the water and the egg. How long has it been since she went down? Chickens will not last long without water. Their body temp is about 100. They lose alot of water very quickly! That is why they require so much fresh water. That and illnes. If they dont drink they will go down hill quickly! I hate to say it Kasie ........But it isn't looking good.

Keep trying! If she don't get better, Atleast you can say you tried! and you made her as comfortable as possible! You are doing and You have done more than most would have!

thank u all so much! i have grown so attached to her must seem kind of crazy but i have grown to love this little thing i gave her the egg and she ate some of it she is to weak to stand and eat so i held her up to eat the egg i gave her more water she liked the egg a lot but didnt eat much because of how weak she is

she keeps on dropping her beak down i dont know exactly what that could mean i have her back in her cage right now she is resting should i be leaving the egg in her cage? or just her water and the corn meal? i dont live out on a farm and i really dont know what exactly i am supposed to do but with all of the help and guidence you all have been providing it has helped me so much! i am going to keep trying to feed her how often should i try? thanks for all of the help
