I always put a sponge or two in at this point. Make sure rinse them well if they might come with soap in them. I use a turkey baster to keep the sponges as wet as I can. With baster you can just open one of the windows or lift the corner of your incubater. Good luck,...
? Is it really Okay too mist the eggs? I never thought of that.

My DM in law has hatched eggs for ever! LOL using a cardboard box and a regular light bulb. She sprays the eggs directly (eeeeekkkkk!!!) She has not had any probs! I personaly Don't like this method! But If it works and has worked...... I guess its your choice. I sometimes think we are too careful with our eggs. We put so much time and effort and love into them..... we just want to give them the best chances possible! and we always blame ourselves and ask "What did I do wrong?" Sometimes the eggs/chicks are just NOT ment to be, for what ever reason. I have learned in a short time that mother nature knowes best! The 2 chicks I had to help Both had to be culled after 5 or so days! It was so hard for me!!! I have no probs puting down a suffering animal or for food. But a baby Is REALLY hard for me to do! Even when I know it is in the babies best entrest, still don't make it easy for me! Now I just do my best and try to be as nature like in my process as I can and let nature take its course. I don't like the thought of spraying/misting directly but it works for some.

Bigstack, thanks that gave me a thought. The only ones I've tried to help were ones that were stuck to the egg, usually a late hatch. I think I will try to mist this egg/ chick if it happens again. Its so easy to tear the umbillical cord, will just give it a mist and leave it alone.

Just a check in.....
My temp had dropped to 97.2 overnight.but have it going ok now.
Added a sponge cut into three pieces....wet them in very warm water and.......................
have 70% humidity now............
