I have 12 white rock hens and had one rooster, but I no longer have the rooster. Anyways, one of the hens about a month or so ago started what I thought immitating the rooster and trying to crow. She ends up sounding kind of like a turkey. I have a video of it, but dont know how to post it. Everyone in my family is insisting that it is a rooster. It is a bit bigger than the other hens, but I feel that it is a hen! It doesn't have spurs on it's legs that I see. Can hens actually immitate roosters? What is one definite way to know if it is a hen or rooster? None of my hens or laying eggs yet so I can't tell that way. Someone please help me on this. I have photos of the hen, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how you upload photos on these forums. Your help would be greatly appreciated! Below I posted a link to watch the video of my hen crowing. I don't know if I did it right. But please try and listen to her. You will hear the rooster crow, then following is the hen.

I have a hen, she is for sure a hen that "crows". It doesn't sound exactly like a rooster crowing but that's what she is doing. She cocks her neck, and "crows" her little heart out (no wing flap though). Crazy birds.

Yeah that's what she looks like. All my hens look exactly the same, except the other 11 hens don't have the tail feathers like that!

"she" looks like a "he" to me. It has a huge comb and wattles-how old is it?

It is 19 weeks old. Same age as all my other hens. I am going to try to upload a picture!

If I did it right, here is a picture of the hen/rooster whichever it is! I hope I did it right!
