Not good to start that debate my friend, how do you know it's very painful for them?

Either way short story- Dubbing must be done on American, Modern, and Old english games to show them as this is a brought over from cockfighting.

Dubbing also minimizes the chances of frostbite on combs/wattles which can in severe cases lead to death or infertility and is horribly painful for them.

Frostbite doesn't only occur up north, it is more based on the moisture (IE humidity) in the air than actual temperature.

You should know your local laws. In some states, like California i believe perhaps only San Francisco (maybe Diego?) it is illegal to dub any bird because of cockfighting, so they think like many people -Dubbed bird, it's for fighting.

Oh I was not trying to start a debate at all. I was simply just curious as to why it's done. I do know that many do it here. I'm assuming that anything that bleeds would be painful. Now I know so I'm happy that I learned something new

Yeah i know you weren't lol. That's just a debate that happens a lot (Whether the dubbing hurts, or doesn't. Whether it's cruel or not etc..) and really has gotten quite a few threads closed down because of the arguing.

Thanks for understanding

I prob should have worded that in a different way too. I don't have anything against anyone who does that as long as they are treating the bird well.
