I need suggestions for housing ducks in the winter

You just have to go with trial and error and see what works... I was going to keep my ducks in their own shed, but they wanted to be with the chickens so I just let them be and figured out the water situation later. They don't hang out in the coop during the day, and they'll only go for the water in the coop if I open up too late.

Take your time and plan out something nice for the ducks, and get all your stuff together and build or ? when the ice and snow melts.

Fancy schmancy coop builder here. Guilty.
Well actually my DH was the one who insisted on building them an indoor duck shelter for the winter. I wanted to leave them outside and let them come in at night like they had been all year but got over ruled.
All the kids are kept indoors at all times, which is probably best considering the local six foot snow drifts. I've been using the "Deep Litter Method" and so far it's working great! Not looking forward to shoveling out layer upon layer of duck crap and straw come spring thaw though.
