Can someone please explain the different combs (pea comb and rose combs especially) ?
And can you do it like you’re teaching a 5 year old?

I’m not 5 but I’m just not getting it.

If it helps I can tell you the breeds I’ve had for example purposes.
I’ve had silkies, barred rock, buff Orpington, red star, polish,

This is the order of combs from all your chickens that you have described, Walnut, single, single, single ,v comb.

these are as many different kinds as I can find sorry if I missed any and I hope you have good luck figuring it all out

Thank you. I have looked at that. I guess I’m just not smart enough. I’ll stick to nursing. Lol

Are you trying to learn the genetics of combs?
No

actually I have 12 leannes adoption chicks from Meyers that are 6 weeks old and I don’t know what a lot of them are
So I did post pics and there were some guesses but I’ve been asked “do they have a pea comb?” Etc

And I have no idea.
just trying to identify these babies

okay they all look single combed except for the blue one, it might be single, but it's too early to tell for right now because the comb hasn't developed enough for me to see what it is, those are such cute chicks
