I am wanting to buy 2 duck and I was wondering if ducks can eat what chickens eat or can chickens eat what ducks eat....will it hurt them ? Please let me know Ty

I have read that the medicated chic feed isn't so good with the ducks they eat more of it so can overdose. But also heard it doesn't happen so I'm not sure. We are feeding our duckling game bird feed. do you plan on having them in the same brooder as baby chicks?

they can eat the same thing. Because there isn't generally a duck starter available you need to monitor their protein intake or you risk angel wing. Also, some ducklings suffer from niacin deficiancies a bit more than others. Add brewers yeast to their food. There have been TONS of posts about this in the past. Search the archives and you will find an abundance of answers
