i need to know the name of his coloring...

Yeah if you look at the way he carries his tail, the slope in his back, how his beard is built, his eyes, and his entire coloring - I'd actually vote towards Salmon Faverolle cross. That or just really really poor quality Salmon Faverolle.

mom is a black frizzle cochin & dad is either a white cochin or a buff silkie..theses are the only roos i have in the coop & i bought them all from tsc last year & they came from ideal hatchery.....so unless they are not breeding true birds than i dont know...i have no EE's here at all!!!! unless the beard is coming from dad being a silkie than i have no idea!!!

I would say mix and so would not have a spacific color. Are you sure she is the mom? I only say this because of the pic of the white cochin has a different hen in the background that would contribute to the gray (or sliver if you like) coloring. If you are sure of the mom of not I would guess the dad would be the silkie only do to the beard.

yes i kno she is the mom..the one in the backround lays white eggs ..she was my first egg layer as i got her lastyear & she was laying when i got her.. the rest all lay brown eggs & i add them after i hatched this one

The silkie has to be the dad then- he most likely has a bearded gene that he passed on. What you have there is an off-color smooth Sizzle. If you could find that silkie roo a buff frizzle cochin hen, you'd be in business!

Then I would say the silkie is the dad. The only way to know for a definite would be to separate them from the rest and breed them together and see what kind of offspring you get.
