My 8 year old mabel needs to be put down she has a large hard mass in her vent area I have checked it’s not a edd she looks like a penguin when she stands mabel is sleeping a lot not much movement but will eat. I can’t cut her head off i Would keep my eyes close the whole time and probably cut my hand off in the process. I do have a pellet gun I don’t know if that would work and if it did what Part of the head do I aim at. This is what I have

This how I euthanize.
Cervical Dislocation is shown in this video at about 1:00,

it's the only CD video I've found that doesn't remove the head.

**Notice the slight divot in the ground under the stick and neck, this will keep the bird from being choked.

***Notice that she slowly stretches out the neck and legs before giving the short sharp jerk that breaks the neck close to the skull, this is key to success IMO.

I've found this technique to be very effective.

This is how I dispatched an ailing hen.

It sounds like the OP has an elderly hen with a serious reproductive issue.
The kindest thing when that happens in my opinion is ending the suffering.
