I need to put my chicken down

Thank you I watched it I don’t know if I can I don’t want her to feel any Pain but I know shes probably already is

It was not a mentally/emotionally easy thing to do at all.
I literally sat and cried when it was over. I am not one to cry either.

My best advice Is to watch the video several times so you know what to do and what to expect.
The actual death is fast really.

If the flapping is to distressing perhaps wrapping her in a towel and tying it on will help reduce that.

8 year old mabel needs to be put down she has a large hard mass in her vent area I have checked it’s not a edd she looks like a penguin when she stands mabel is sleeping a lot not much movement but will eat.
I know but the mass is big and very hard and she has labored breathing

I'm very sorry about Mabel :hugs

I see you were offered good suggestions. I too use cervical dislocation to put sick hens down.
It's not easy on us at times, but you have determined you need to end her suffering. At 8 years old, she's had a good life with you.
