I need to say a 4 letter word...

33* outside this morning around five am! BRRRRRRRRR!

I need to keep saying that four letter word every time someone mention SNOW! I am NOT ready for it but my poor body protests because of the change of weather. At least it is very very low in pollen count!

Wel, here in W Central NJ it's our turn. There is about an inch on the ground with another 3-4" expected today and another 4 - 8" tonight.

Many trees are still fully leaved as we have not had a frost yet. Tree limbs will be coming down and we will lose power. Can you tell that I am somewhat of a pessimist?

Sourland is not thrilled and keeps repeating several four letter words.

Its the chicken's first snow though... and they seem to be enjoying it...

The Princess is in a performance of "On Golden Pond" tonight. Hope the theater is intelligent enough to cancel - ya just never know about them theater folk. I threatened to take her keys and she threatened to beat my butt - tough woman that one.

Tell the Princess to let me know if she needs any help with that; but I suspect that she's a pro.

Well, the 3-4" has turned into 6"+ on the roads, ground and trees. Yep, on the trees. So far there is a big backsideed maple tree resting on my roof - went into the attic and it does not appear as if the roof is severely damaged. Right now I am not going on top of the house. A second smaller tree has fallen on my power line - we still have electricity, but for how long? JCP&L has been contacted, but they are scrambling right now. Two trees were across my driveway, but I was able to remove them. Have I mentioned that I hate this? I admit to being a control freak and when my environment spins out of control I get

Thanks to all that is good! The theater just called, and tonight's performance is cancelled. I was not anticipating the trip to the theater house tonight.

If we lose power, the Princess will just light some candles and we will snuggle down in our feather comforters.

SE PA here. I think the snow totals predicted have been about doubled. I'd say about 8 inches of wet snow so far. We tried to go out this morning, saw the roads, turned around and came back in. Chickens are huddled in under the vehicles although I still hear egg songs now and then so there is some movement.
Chicken cooking on the stove- soup or potpie?
