Yeah, I spent the day feeling a CHILL in here when it was just raining outside, and I crawled under the comforter before my human bed-warmer had to wake up & get ready for work tonight. Later, when we stopped to put gas in the car about 5:30, I saw these cold, evil, tiny little icy balls plinking onto the hood of the car, and then it changed to little slushy drops being spit on the windshield.
Then to deal with head-to-toe cold when I went to close up the girls: deep-ish puddles in the chicken yard, and cold wetness falling on my un-hooded neck from the protective netting overhead. Bbrrr!
I AM NOT READY to think about winter yet!!
I don't even have winter boots! Last year's, as I recall, were peeling by winter's end. No good for puddles, uh-uh, no way. I'm not sure about a coat, either. Last spring I think I said I'll need a new coat when it gets cold. I've been doing just fine, thank you, with flannels, sweat shirts, and a fleece pullover. I can't deal with this, not yet...
