This is my first spring with chickens. I normally use Round Up but I'm thinking it might not be a good idea this year. My flock (only 15) free range. Is Round Up OK or is there something else I can use?

Thank you.

Round up is poison, you don't want to use it around any animals or people!!!!
Just pull the weeds or if you really want to kill them use boiling water or vinegar.

I've had success using straight undiluted white vinegar. Pour right into a spray bottle and start spraying the weeds.

Really? Vinegar to kill weeds. Wow I will have to try that.

Round up has been proven to do genetic damage to animals and people after it has been diluted at some ridiculous amount like .00005 parts per million. Absolutely under no circumstance should you use that stuff.

Yessir, You can drink it and its good for you, good for your chickens too. Now that's what I call a safe herbicide.

Yep! Just spray it on the leaves and flowers. Vinegar is mildly (>5%) acidic. It burns them up after a couple of days, and it's safe for just about everything. Cheap too.
