Can anyone tell me what breed (mix of breeds) this girl might be?? She hasn't laid yet... so no egg color to help.

Does she have green legs? My best guess would be a wyandotte mix, or maybe a cochin mix. Definitely not a purebred chicken.

I have a hen that looks similar she's a cross between a Cochin and a Maron. Not sure if either parent was full or mutt as well. She's beautiful an lays larger dark brown eggs.

She was originally sold to us as a Cuckoo Marans

She was originally sold as a Cuckoo Marans at a few days old, it quickly became pretty clear that that wasn't the case, due to her comb and obviously she never developed the coloring. So yes, we we're pretty sure that she was not purebred. But maybe the feathered feet are some leftovers from the Marans

We would be fine with that, she is pretty. And since we are just backyard chicken raisers it doesn't really matter, but we were getting some Marans for the dark eggs
