So last night I went out to lock the coop and do a head count at dusk and realized one was missing. When I walked around the yard I found signs of a struggle in one area. No blood just a lot of feathers. I then walked over a mile into the woods and all around my property. No body. No blood. No other feathers. The trail starts at the downstairs neighborhoods window and ends at their front door. Any idea what kills like this? It started under my porch and I can fallow a light trail of feathers that lead to the two attached pictures

With the snow on the ground, did you look for any type of foot prints? Maybe look and see what type of footprints are around the area

Oh goodness, so sorry to hear of this loss. Were you able to take any photos of the tracks perhaps? I highly highly suggest getting yourself a game camera for flock security, in order to know what potential predators you have in order to help better protect. It's hard to secure the birds if they are free ranging during the day, and there are any number of predators that could have gotten them.

In the past, I have experienced dog attacks that left no blood but plenty of feathers.

There are only cat paw prints. I found raccoon prints deep in the woods but none where the attack happend
