IF the goose being given is laying now she could stop for a short while, but will return to laying again

My emdens did several clutches a year. What do you mean by "short period of time?" Has she laid lots of eggs and then stopped? Or just a few and a few days ago? When they go "broody" and actively set on the eggs full-time, laying will stop until she needs to start a new family.

IF you have predators, you might think the egg-laying has stopped when in reality someone is taking them before she's done with her cycle/clutch of eggs.
