What is your favorite breed of chicken?

Personally I like silkies

But I've been wanting to try out some silver laced sebrights. They're just so darn pretty!

OH BOY, this is tough......I will say, that my favorite breed of chickens (for today at least

) is a bantam frizzle Cochin. I have two and they are so tiny, and when they run they look like super speedy little hamsters! I'm not kidding!

I have another one, she's a bit smaller and all black, so her name is Little Blackie (from the movie True Grit). She loves a cuddle and is just darling....

I like Silkies and EEs. I like the Silkies for the obvious (cute and very friendly) and the EEs because there are so many color variations. There is no standard color for them, that I know of.

My wife is in love with Silkies as well, thats the reason I bought 30 eggs! They are hatching right now.

Boy that's a tuff one! I like polish because they are so goofy and silkies are so fluffy, seramas are just so tiny but I think my salmon faverolles are my faveorite!

Next year I want some silkies, they are just too darn cute!
But with my flock of 15 my fave is my Barred Rocks, they love to sit on my lap, and take naps, they are my first egg layers. My Light Brahma is my next fave, I like the feathered feet & the markings.
