I ordered 200 chicks- It's Promiselandfarm & Perfectly_polish's fault

Now hay I have. Will 15 be stinky? They need the same heat lamp temps as chicks
right?

My 20 Colored Rangers are loving there barn space. They are all over. I left the
doors open all day so they could explore the woods but they chose to stay indoors.

Depending on the size of pen your keeping them in and whether they're inside or outside will determine how much they stink. Ducks are messy, and they make mud, and the mud gets mixed with poop, and with the heat lamp it will make them smell a little. Just make sure to keep the hay dry, and smell shouldn't be a problem. But you'll be down to 5 soon anyway, so it won't be bad.

Glad your meaties are enjoying the space. We'll be going to salem tomorrow to see if they have broiler feed with a higher protein. They finished a 50 lb bag in about 3 days, so they'll be getting fatter

Oh, broiler feed. I'm going to start a new thread on that issue tommorrow.
Neither Nutrena or Blue Seal have a 26% protien like I got from the co-op.

How long is the plank? Our ducks don't have a problem with the one in our coop. If they do you can put wire on it, to give them better footing.

maybe 3-4 ft. the angle is not great, but the silkies manage it. the others fly in and giggle at the waddling silkies

Yup scovies hiss, they don't quack. I had one that would fly around the house, but I don't think with these meat ones it should be a problem, they'll probably be too fat

Yes!!

I finagled my way for some Saturday time! I'm at work from 7:30-10:30, which means I can pick up PP by 11:30. We get out to PC by 1ish? I have to back in for a nighty night check, but that's like after dark. SO, i think we're good to have some socializing and bird pick up time!!
