I ordered Welsh Harlequins... **Updated Pics***

He's very similar, but his bill isn't the right color, neither is his tail. The side is a little off too, I suspect he's a cross with something! Pretty boy though.
 
It takes Welsh Harlequins 1 set of feathers to get their full color and then a molt and the second set of feathers to really evaluate the birds, but that is not a pure Welsh harlequin. If they aren't marked right, you can normally tell that as young ducks. Even before they have all their feathers completely in. Leaded blue bills are not a typical WH trait, and signs of crossbreeding. I had a Snowy Mallard drake with the same thing, I culled him only because of the bill color. (Note the drake in the back left.) It wasn't bad, but not worth breeding from.

This is what a typical Welsh Harlequin drake looks like.

We have much nicer ones than this now with more claret breast extending down the flanks, but this is the only one I could find a picture of. This is a drake less than 1 year old in the picture and he is in his color already.
