Willowbreeze walked over to the kit, quietly. "Don't interfere. She knows what she is doing." Willowbreeze whispered to the kit.

“I can’t I’m so sorry. I love my clan and maybe one day but I haven’t earned it yet. Please understand, I want you to make the best desicion and right now that’s not me.”

"Okay...." Ivykit and Breezekit meowed, sighing. Ivykit was sad, but thought this might be the best decision.

“A wise choice is the best one. Look at what Appletrees choice got us. I think someone smart and understanding is best. I’ll say it if I want to. My say is just as important as yours. We all live in the community and we all suffer when one suffers.”

Silverwing stepped out and looked around the camp. “Dropspring, Jadeheart lets go hunting. The kits need to eat tomorrow and so do injured cats. We will be devoting a lot of time to rebuilding so let’s go out now.” She led the small patrol out of camp.

Jadeheart rolled her eyes. She hoped this cat wouldn't be leader. Finchstripe wisely told them all to have rest. She curled around Darkkit.
"It's ok," he said.
"I'll go then," she said, getting up.

Fallingrain stood up and mewed, “No I can’t accept that. I didn’t earn it or anything. What about Silverwing or Finchstripe? They’ve both been working hard.”

"Yes, Finchstripe," Jadeheart echoed. "As much as I love and support my mate, I think she is an excellent speaker, and brave and smart. I need him here with me."
She smiled happily, leaning into him.
"And you can't chose the leader. Only Auburnleaf can."
"Yes, what is the meaning of a medicine cat choosing the leader?" Dropspring said.

Rainshadow felt offended. "If I was like other cats, I would run away right now. But I'm not." Rainshadow pondered something for a second, "Dropspring, come up here."

Honeycloud (I almost typed hineycloud lol) heard the conversation. She loved all the cats in the Clan. Her mentor Silverwing was so kind to her. Silvernight was a good Warrior and friend. Fallingrain was loyal. And Finchstripe was a good peacemaker.
Her heart was torn.

"And he doesn't want to be leader. If he says he doesn't want to be leader, we can't force it. I trust him not to run, but you are kinda forcing him in that direction. I apologize that I am using your name like you aren't here, Fallingrain," Jadeheart said.

Ivykit scurried over, "It's okay- Rainshadow is very nice. She won't punish him. Maybe just teach him a lesson."
