I promised pic of growth on eyelid so here it is UPDATE!

this dr. would not touch it wants me to go to eye dr. and have it either removed or a biopsy done on it. they said it is not the granuloma annulare like I have on my arms and stomach, wants me to try to get appt. asap. which is back to the no insurance thing again I can't afford it. so I guess it will be what ever the good Lord wants it to be. also my blood A1c level was 9.9 not good sugar level waaaaaaaay to high. I could have told them that. Oh well back to square 1 again. thanks everyone for being so concerned but there really isn't anything I can do about it.

Walking is a good way to keep the sugar levels down. Uphill burns fat, downhill burns sugar. I am a diabetic and have managed to keep mt A1C at or below 6 for about 6 years now. Cinnamon is a great help too. I put it on my cereal every morning. The blood sugar thing is a lot of work, but it can be done. Good luck.

Chickabator,
See if the doctor will admit you in the hospital and then just apply for indigent care or let them make a bill and send them 5$ a month. A lot of hospitals have programs to help pay for people with no insurance and there are sometimes foundations set up that will pay also. Sometimes you have to ask though- They won't volunteer the info themselves. Do a Judge Judy on them-- Ask them one thing right after another- Bug the heck out of them. What have you got to lose? Praying and rooting for you!!

Personally, I'd go see someone and just pay what I could as soon as I could and ask for whatever help they can give me. This is more than a quality-of-life issue, it could be a life-threatening thing!

You have kids, right? And they want you around for them as long as possible. If your kid had the same problem, what would you recommend?

I know about the DHS program but it has to be an emergancy before they will let you use it. My DH when he had to have his stress test went through the DHS program it was 4900.00 for that test alone. when I had to have emergancy surgery for the kidney stone that had my right kidney blocked 100% the hospital went through the dish program . they do not consider this thing on my eye an emergancy. so DHS won't help. The eye exam at the cheapest place here is around 100.00 that is just an eye exam well this has nothing to do with my vision so says the dr's they say it is cosmetic. so I will just live with my growth for now, who knows maybe I will get me a razor blade and just cut it open myself and see what comes out(lol)
Hey EC , an Wynette want to come do surgery

I didn't read all the post, but did you see a skin dr?
They could at least rule out cancer.

If the dr said it's cosmetic, why did he want you to go the eye doctor? That's doesn't make any sense (on his part).

I think you need to find out how much an appt with a dermatologist is and get seen by one.

Did the doctor at least tell you what he/she thought it was? Is it just a cosmetic thing that the Dr thought should be removed by the eye doctor because it is so close to the eye?
