and i dont know what they are, i know theyre quail, just dont know what kind, there are six of them, and there the tannish eggs with the black splotches, i dont know if theyre fresh or even fertile, becuase they were just sitting on the counter at the pet store in a room full of quail, so i will post pics later, but if anyone knows what kind these are, please let me know, i'll look for a picture of them on the internet to post now, but i need incubation time if anyone knows

this is what they look like

They are definitely some type of coturnix, though it's impossible to tell what type until they hatch.

They take about 18 days to hatch, stop turning on day 15. You should probably keep your humidity on the high side, like at least 50%. That's how I have done all mine, and I have had pretty good hatches with that. Good luck, and let us know how they turn out! What color quail were at the pet store?

there were some of the normal looking ones, like brown, and then there were some ones with the same pattern as the brown ones but they were more of a pale gray/blonde

The normal ones are either pharoahs or jumbos. They look exactly the same, just the jumbos are bigger.
The blonde ones could have been the goldens I believe, and those come in regular and jumbo size as well.

They can, but it depends on how old the hen is, and if they are being bred for their size. I have had jumbo eggs that were as big as a bantam chicken's, and then I've had some that were barely bigger than a button quail's.

I also just topped off my 1588 incubator which has had 30 BW quail eggs in it since the 8th. I set some 30 pharohs, 30 goldens and 30 goldens today the 15th. I hope my math is right for a simultaneous hatch. Jon in KY
