I raised chickens as a boy from chicks, so I've always had an affinity for birds.

My wife and I moved to an oceanfront home in Plymouth, MA last December. To our amazement we had a frequent visitor to our backyard. Almost daily. It was the most beautiful bird we'd ever seen. It is a Red Golden pheasant. Unfortunately, the last time we saw it was April 5, 2019. At the time of this writing May 21, 2019 we haven't seen it. We fear something happen/got to it and not to be seen again. Do Red Golden's in the wild disappear from time to time?

Hi Leon and welcome to BYC! I haven't seen any pheasants since I moved to NE. Lots of geese, turkeys and ducks. Oh, and of course chickens. Perhaps he was someone's pet bird that was out for an adventure. Glad you decide to join our happy flock. Do you have any chickens? Maybe it is nesting?
