so this is the guy or girl...

its a two and a half week old red sex link. the last pictures is of it with our two and a half week old ameraucanas. if this turns out to be a male...what do i do with it???

im gonna be really bummed if its male....its comb seems pretty defined for two and a half weeks but since my other two are ameraucanas, i have no point of reference, i cant even tell their genders either...

I have both rsl and Americauna...........the Americauna's will never develop much of a comb.

Your rsl is a girl. I've had both and the males are mostly buff.

It's a pullet. Red sexlink males are mostly white.

She probably has coccidiosis, common at that age. You need Corid which is concentrated amprolium ASAP.

If the chick is actually a red sex-link, it is a pullet. Cockerels are almost white in color. The reason I used the word "actually" is because some places mix up the chicks that sell, and what you think you bought is actually another breed.

can females do that so soon?
