I remember when the penny candy store actually had candy that was a penny. A dollar bought a bag full of tooth rotting junk, ah those were the days! The matinee movie on Saturday was 50 cents and you could get a large popcorn,large soda( for us New Englanders) and a giant box of snow caps all for under $2. And 25 cents for the bus each way. $3 today barely gets a cup of coffee.
