I rescued chickens who are in desperate need of care!

I am certain they were dumped off intentionally. Underneath them was infested with mites/fleas and there had NO feathers from all the stratching and feather plucking. Two had infected feet and while trying to work on one of them we discovered it had been shot with a BB gun and we pulled the BB out ourselves!

They were infested with mites/fleas and had no feathers on the underside of them. Two had infected feet from being shot with a BB gun, we pulled the BB out ourselves! In person a few had purple spots on their combs and they were very hungry. The eggs laid were rubbery as a result of needing more calcium. They needed a lot of TLC and were NOAT taken care of properly until I got them

The chickens are doing well. I think we have gotten rid of the mites but their feathers need to grow back on their underside. Im going to post a photo of what I said was Bumble Foot. The one we got the BB out of its foot! I had it clean and wrapped with antibiotic ointment on it but the chicken took the wrap off and his feet are dirty due to our rainy weather for the past week! I took all the straw from the run and coop and was about to fill it back in but its pouring rain again and our chickens look terrible due to being wet and muddy but they are in better health than they were when I got them

This is the infected foot on one of the chickens I rescued. After opening it up (and after reading on how to fix bumblefoot) When we opened the infected foot, we discovered it had been shot with a BB gun and was infected from that! Chicken pulled of the dressing we had to keep it clean and covered.

Ok people, Im very confused now because we thought we had 4 roosters and 2 hens but Ive been given various opinions and all are different! Whats the best way to tell in this breed? Only one of them has spurs. two have small combs and 4 have larger combs (one with large comb has spurs)

I am fairly certain that they are Leghorns and if so, its natural for the girls to have large combs so maybes the one with spurs is the only boy. Have you heard any crows or had any eggs yet?

we are getting eggs but dont know which ones are laying since we work full time and are not here. They are loud but havent heard a crow!
