I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my Bashful kitty who was 17 in May and my beloved dog, Spook, 12, in June. Nothing prepares you for the loss of a trusted friend. Only on here will you find like minded folks who feel that their furry friends are just as much of their family as the 2 leggeds they have running around. All my babies has 4 legs and fur. Nothing can give you such unconditional love as the furry friend you find by your side. Find peace in your memories for they will be always with you.

The pain of your loss is almost palpable to me. I know it well and miss my own very dearest four legged friend every day. Thankfully you have 18 years of wonderful, cherished memories to hold onto. The pain will lessen, but it never goes away. A true thing is that one day you will even be able to laugh at the funny memories.
