I SEE VAINS!!!!

Ok this is my very first hatch and we are on day 4 and I had to candle and at least try to see something, I looked at only 4 of the 14 eggs and 2 I clearly saw veins and an embryo the other 2 I could not see anything but Im not giving up just yet. I did not want to keep opening the incubator so I only checked the 4. But its exciting, hubby thought I was nuts talking to eggs..LOL

only 17 days left, keep ur fingers crossed for me.

Oh and my Marans eggs were sent out today so they will be a week behind my silkies hatching.

good job. I just hatched mine. I read on here to put all the eggs in an egg carton and then take them to wherever you are candling them and do them. It doesn't take that long and the lid isn't open that long on the 'bator either. I did that it was much easier than taking one egg at a time to the bathroom. keep us posted.

I do believe I am becoming addicted. I am constantly scanning ebay and eggbid for what i want next and I have not even hatched a single egg yet..lol.

After reading the other posts however Im thinking maybe an emu next??

Congrats! I candled tonight too, and actually got to see a few MOVE!! What a rush, huh? And yea, it is ADDICTING!!

Yes, candle them all at the same time and TAKE YOUR TIME!! (we dropped one last week

) And don't take the clears one out. I was SURE that 11 of my 16 BLRWs were not developing on day 4, but lo and behold on day 7, three of those 11 WERE developing. Good luck and keep us posted!!

I went ahead and looked at them all like u said, 9 of the 14 I can see the veins!! not bad for my first time and being shiped, Im going to be over run with evil little silkies
