I should have whined a little harder (UPDATE PG.3)

I really really want that little duckling, but...
my SO is 6'4", somewhere in the neighborhood of 270 lbs., and usually wears a sidearm and I really really really want to live to see my next birthday. :| and as he keeps reminding me....he has 80 acres and a shovel.

Gritsar, you sound like me. I know they dread me everytime I come in bc I tell them how the animals need to be taken care of. Sometimes those ppl are so daft.

Sometimes it seems like a critter instantly adopts you when your in one of those places. Thats how I got my first three chickies. One just kept watchin me and watchin me. She turned out to be imprinted on me, and followed me everywhere, but was crossbeak so didnt make it but six weeks. But she had a good loving home, I am glad I took her, cuz she wouldnt have made it in a barnyard flock for 5 minutes.
She was a special lil thang and still makes me smile thinkin bout her.

My first chicken Carmilla was that way, well I guess I was that way to her since she couldn't even stand when I got her. She was a cross beak too and the most awesome girl!

Whats life without a lil risk...lol

Besides which yesterday was V-day and you could have guilted him into aren't I worth a lil ducky...lol.

You made your first mistake when you called him... You should have bought it and tied a red ribbon 'round it's neck and given it to him as his V-day gift...lol. It's rude to complain about gifts and you could have reminded him of that as your lip quivered and you told him all you do for him and how much thought you put into the gift...lol

P.S. invest in a wood chipper...it's easier than shoveling, just in case.

Oh, whatever, he might be big, but when he sees that cute little duck he will melt. Go get that little thing, it is sad and is wondering why you didn't take it home.
