i think you're right! the top part had loads of ice around the edges.Chest freezers hold the cold well. Likely only the top layer is an issue.

MDH still needs some directions from time to time (after 35 years), and gets annoyed sometimes for sure. Nevertheless I only get the urge to clean his mess if he has/had a much tougher day than I have/had.
