I was, but not in a greenhouse. I gave up several years ago bc having chickens and gardening is not a good combination.
i am sure it's not! this will be my first garden season with chickens, so we'll see.
so far, so good.
i already had hoops with bird nets on all the raised beds because of the crows and wood pigeons and cats, so the chickens don't bother with that at all. and the greenhouse is easy enough to keep them out. if it's very warm (hardly ever) and i have to keep the doors open, i clip bird netting to the door opening and nobody goes in.
we'll see what happens when the plants in the raised beds get too big for the netting and i have to take it off.
so far, still, the only plant (besides grass and dandelion seeds) they nibble on is the fennel. i even put a fennel plant and some grass (in a pot) in the run for them.
it does smell really good, though.
they also have another pot in the run with thyme, kale, a snap pea plant, and borage. they don't touch it.
