i somehow acquired 2 runaways and i have questions. please help

so. um. the door works. opens and closes when it's supposed to. but they won't come out of the coop until i go out there and say good morning.
that sort of defeats the purpose of an automatic door.

I dunno - it turned you into an automatic greeter, so it must be working at least a little bit!
